CATCH THE VIBE
I must say I am proud of my work on a whole, when I record I record with a vibe a feeling. So the material is created right on the spot, and the listeners is experiencing Jahmiel at that moment. So I cant say I’m most happy with one or a few because its not as if I sit write and then record, the vibe I get from the riddim along with what I may be feeling at that moment is what I create on spot. The joy is when a next person says to me “Jahmiel you know say that song is me you sing it for, or Jahmiel that is exactly how me a feel right now” people can relate to my body of work.
When leaving home and being received by so many different nationalities its a great feeling, great experience and a sign that something is being done right.
I look forward to continue to work with producers who will continue to show my versatility and my creative depth. Sometime we tend to box ourselves in based on what the fans gravitated the first time, but we all love music and more time we don’t just love one type of music.
So I look forward to work with artists and producers who will show that side especially the Afrobeats side right now.
STRONGEST SOLDIER
Life is my inspiration, but I don’t write. I have not put pen to paper for any of my songs, its really something I cant explain when I enter the booth but it just flows.
What have you recognized about Jamaican music on the international platform? Anything you think the industry should consider?
On an international platform, everyone listen reggae/dancehall EVERYONE all who we think not listening they listening. What we as Jamaicans on a whole have not figured out is how we capitalize on that, how we become bigger stars on an international level by that.
FEATURING SHENSHEA

Music by Jahmiel ft. Shenseea performing “Tell Me” produced by Troyton Music. Directed by Icey Jace
A positive mindset with the right actions that compliments it is always what keeps me focused and give me the strength to push forward.
I have a show in Portland coming up end of September, I know I have a show in Tortola but with the devastating storm not sure how that will go right now. As well as Grenada coming up in November.
Also give thanks for my Patriotz — my fans who never hesitate to send me words of encouragement.
